Mexican Beef, shredded

Delicious CrockPot beef

Ingredients

  • 2 - 5 lb. roast
  • 2 - 4oz. cans of green chilies
  • 1 T chili powder
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 t pepper
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 1 t cumin powder
  • 2-3 cloves of chopped garlic (optional)
  • 1 - 2 C beef broth

Directions

  1. Place roast in crockpot. Combine the seasonings and rub onto the meat, both sides. Spread the green chilies over the roast. Add beef broth. Cook on low all day or cook on high 4-6 hours. When roast is done, take out and shred with forks. Put the shredded meat back in crockpot to soak up juices. If you have time, let it sit and marinate. If you freeze meat, put it in juices to freeze.
